Madeleine graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a upper second class degree in Law. She obtained a distinction in her Masters and Legal Practice Course from Nottingham Law School and was awarded the Irwin Mitchell Prize for top of her class in Litigation. She qualified as a solicitor in 2020.
Madeleine began her legal career in-house for a Marketing company and proceeded to work for a well-known London based FTSE 250 listed estate agency firm. She trained at a West End litigation and tax boutique firm where she assisted in acting for three Defendants against 14 Claimants in a dishonest assistance, Missing Trader Inter Community Fraud tax claim in the Commercial Court for in excess of £70 million; co-Defendants in the matter included two global international trading banks.
Madeleine is experienced in commercial litigation and has acted in enforcement proceedings in respect of a judgment plus costs Orders, totalling over £2.2 million, against two wealthy individuals in the Middle East. She was heavily involved in working of a team comprising of, inter alia, the former Attorney General in bringing criminal contempt of Court proceedings against those individuals.
